The eye is one of the most complex organs in our bodies, second only to our brains. For a small organ, the eye consists of more than 2,000,000 working parts. It’s also a very important organ. After all, a large part of how we learn is through our eyes, accounting for 80% of what we know.  
You’ve noticed that you’re increasingly squinting just to get a clearer view while you’re walking or while you’re reading on your mobile device. You’ve always had 20/20 vision, but face it: it looks like you now have to visit your eye doctor and get an eye exam! NZ has a lot of eye doctors, in case you’re wondering, so you won’t have a hard time finding one.
A child’s sense of sight is an important part of their learning and development. Being able to see helps them absorb their world. And of course, healthy vision helps children read, write, and interact with people or objects around them.

Color deficiency, better known as color blindness, is contrary to what many people believe and rarely means that you can’t see any color at all. Instead, people who suffer from color deficiency struggle to see the vibrancy of certain shades, and this can make many colors seem the same.

Dry eye is one of the most common eye conditions to affect adults in New Zealand. There are many causes of dry eye, but one of the most common is a condition called meibomian gland dysfunction. Intense Pulsed Light, or IPL for short, is one of the newest techniques for treating dry eye that is caused by meibomian gland dysfunction.
