Widefield High Definition Retinal Imaging

The retina is the back surface of the eye. It is an important part of the eye to get examined.
At NVISION Eyecare® we use the latest retinal imaging technology to give us a wider and clear image of the retina.

imaging technology

While a normal retinal camera gives a field of view of 30 to 45 degrees, the EIDON camera provides a 60° image of the retina with a single exposure and up to 150° using multiple exposures. The difference is quite striking as can be seen in the image below.

Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)

imaging technology

The Revo OCT is made by polish company Optopol. It is unique in that it scans at a much higher speed than many OCT’s currently in use by optometrists and ophthalmologists. This means that it gives a clearer and more defined image.

Kids Vision

Automated Sight Measurement

Sometimes it can be hard to get an accurate prescription for young children. Young kids can get nervous, or just find it difficult to concentrate during an eye exam. To make this process easier and more accurate, NVISION Eyecare® has acquired the PlusOptix Mobile Paediatric Autorefractor.
This technology allows the child to sit in their parents lap and look at the device that is held by the optometrist from a comfortable distance.

Axial Length Measurement for Myopia Control

Myopia (short-sightedness), is caused by the human eye growing more than it should. The most accurate way to measure its progression is by measuring the length of the eye (axial length). In the past, this involved using ultrasound technology, where a probe must come into contact with the eye. This may be an uncomfortable procedure for children. At NVISION Eyecare® use a non-contact method to measure the axial length of the eye. This involves the child looking at an image in a device, and the measurement is taken in seconds.
